2012 will be 140 years since the birth of William Desmond Taylor. He was born William Cunningham Deanne-Tanner in, what is now known as, ‘The Elms’, Athy road, Carlow, Ireland. To celebrate this anniversary, a selection of his films will be screened, a series of talks and various other events will take place at the state-of-the-art George Bernard Shaw Theatre, Carlow, May 18 – May 20th.
